Love Her.

Why haven't I been Blogging?

Well, Bob fell off a roof on September 12th. He crushed his left heel. He had an appointment yesterday and they decided that he wouldn't need surgery. What a blessing! He will be in a cast for about 8 weeks. He is already complaining how bored he is. Is it too early in his injury to make a "honey do" list? I don't think so! The girls have been awesome helpers while Daddy has been down.

Fun Day Off

Kacie and I met Jordyn at school for lunch today. Tator-tot hotdish! Kacie and I then went to take some pics. Betweeen the scratch on her arm (that is practically gone), the sun in her eyes, and just the fact that she didn't want to take pictures--we still managed to get a few.

And yes....I did bribe her with Swedish Fish!

"We'll See"

I told Jordy that school pictures are next week. She showed me how she was going to smile. She showed me (see pic below) and said, "should I do that"? I told her I would prefer a nice smile, not a silly one. She said, "we'll see".

Home Alone

Kacie started preschool today (Care Bear back pack and all). She is excited to learn lots of new things. I don't know what to do with myself. Jordy is at school...Kacie is gone....hmmm....could wash some clothes...no, maybe I should pay some bills...no, how about kick my legs up and read. I never thought the time would come that I could do that at 10:00am! Hope everyone has a great day.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend. Bob and I started Friday night with a date. Thanks Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Dave for taking such great care of the girls. Saturday night we grilled and played pinochle with Gma Peggy and Gpa Dave. Sunday we were treated with an overnight stay at the Mariott. The kids had a blast and Amy and played Blokus (highly recommended) until midnight. Thanks everyone for a great time. On Monday we had a nice quiet family day. We played games all day long. Jordy rocked at monopoly!

Dear Andrea,
Thank you for 9 amazing years. You are the perfect wife/mother. You make me happy in so many ways, and I love you more than ever. You are my life, my world, and my everything. (I'm sure this is what Bob would've said if he only knew how to enter this blog page--I will give him the opportunity to edit it). I love you, Honey!! I am so lucky to have you.

First Day of School

Jordy is off at her first day of 1st grade (sniff sniff--blow my nose). She is excited for another fun year. There is a pick up zone just at the end of our street so Jordy got on the bus with a bunch of neighbor kids. Kacie is a little lost this morning and keeps asking "when is my Jordy going to be home".

Iveta is one of our neighbor friends. She just turned 14 and the girls adore her.

This is why!

Bob wonders why I pack so much stuff just for the weekend at the lake. Well, this picture was taken approx. 10 minutes after she got out of her swim suit. Point made!

Look out Leonardo da Vinci

I think we got something here! Jordyn could sit and paint for hours if I would let her. Today was one of those days. It rained off and on all day. She had a great time painting while Kacie took a (very much needed) nap.

FINALLY....

a loose tooth. Jordy came in from playing outside last night and said "I have a loose tooth! Finally, I have a loose tooth"! She wiggled it and twisted it enought that it came out this afternoon. She has spent a majority of the day looking in the mirror at her new smile!

Wedding #1 (8.8.08)

Jordy thought she was the funniest girl EVER when she gave Kacie the "bunny ears"! So silly! My friend, Mandi, got married this night. We missed Bob but he was in a wedding the next night and had the grooms dinner this night. The girls had a great time dancing.

Wedding #2 (8.9.08)

Bob was the bestman in this wedding. We had a blast and are so happy for Sam & Stacey. We wish them years full of love and happiness!

Thanks Uncle Jimmie...

for this adorable outfit!

Brave Girl

Jordy wanted to learn how to ski last weekend. She had quite the cheer team. Bob's friend Jon and his family were down and Jon was in the water giving Jordy tips. This weekend my moms brother and his family were down and Grandpa Dave and Uncle Greg were in the water helping out (someones gotta stay behind the camera--and that's me)!
She is using the same set of skis that I learned on when I was 7. Press PLAY on the video below.

Valley Fair

We went to the Valley Fair on Monday with Bob's folks and aunt. We had a great time. The frog hopper was the girls favorite ride. They also enjoyed the ice cream, icees and souvenirs Grandpa and Grandma bought them. Thanks for everything Jim and Viki!

They both got dolphins air brushed with glitter on their arms. They are still on after swimming twice in the hotel and 1 bath---not bad! (We did have strict orders not to scrub the dolphins).

4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th. Weather was perfect. We spent the day at Grandma Jean and Grandpa Milt's cabin (Middle Cormorant). Got to Lake Eunice about 7:00pm. The kids went straight to the water and played until 8:45. Kyle, Bob, and I went wake boarding (I'm a little sore from all the face plants I took--yeah, 5 days ago--still sore)! The kids lit up a few sparklers and they were excited to watch all the fireworks on the lake.
